From June through August we hosted the Little Bear Crochets crochet contest. It was a wonderful time in which we received so many of your adorable pictures! At the start of September three winners were chosen. You can read all about them in this blog post here.
In this blog post we’d like to shine a light on the other entries that we have received. They have put a smile on our faces and we hope they’ll brighten your day too!
The Playing Cats
One of the most popular entries turned out to be for our free playing cats pattern. So cute to see them in all of these different colors and sizes! Our eye especially fell on the cat on the rocks beside the water –what a beautiful surrounding. From left to right, top to bottom, they were made by: @tiendadesaite, @cyaniine, @veme_hechoamano, @yarn.hooks.happy, @tiendadesaite, @pattycierra, @analiabsanches, @meecrochet, and @tiendadesaite on Instagram.
The Bunny Pants
The second most popular pattern for the entries was Bunny Pants. The pattern suggests a simple pair of paints, but we loved to see how you guys all dressed them differently. We also got to see some very original and cute pictures with the bunnies being up to all types of different activities! From left to right, top to bottom, these rabbits were crocheted by: @amavi_be, @psudoscientist, @crochetbybm, @lilly_doll_designs, @littlebearcrochets, @kleinaberjoho, @tiendadesaite, Jessica N. Flores (on facebook), and @maplesquidarts on Instagram.
Tall Dragon
We were really impressed by the beautiful yarn chosen for the dragons that were made. They also all have really creative pictures and some great attitudes, haha! From left to right, top to bottom, they were made by @trollyarn, @dorien.vdl, @amberjadelilycrochet and @fuflom on Instagram.
Giraffes
In the entries we found some tall giraffes and some mini giraffes. One of the winners was a mini giraffe, but there are more to admire! These giraffes seem to love flowers, tea parties and games! Sweet, right? From left to right, top to bottom, the amigurumis were made by @tiendadesaite, @imake_kawaii_stuff, @lillatussen_, @halsey_cakes, @bechosgdl, and @halsey_cakes on Instagram.
Foxes
Here we’ve got some adorable mini and tall foxes! They’re living their best lives having pastry, keeping others company, going outside and having hobbies. One even got to meet a famous person, wow! From left to right, top to bottom, these were crocheted by @halsey_cakes, @halsey_cakes, @carmel.corbet, @luvs2cr8bymontana, @dorien.vdl, and @halsey_cakes on Instagram.
Bears
Bears seem to be a popular contest entry as well! Aren’t they cute in all of their varieties? Some have decided to put on some very fancy outfits for their photoshoots. You can never go wrong with this classic pattern, the possibilities for adapting it to your liking are infinite. From left to right, top to bottom, these bears were created by @sundaimade, @sofiemaakt, @debbie_liciouss, TheRightHook (on facebook), @mumma_of_crochet, @susicalcrafts_wellbeing, @hillarys_hook on Instagram and @RJReintjens on Twitter.
Pigs
Pigs are wonderful animals. Contrary to popular belief, they are very clever and very clean! Transforming these creatures into amigurumis is well worth it. The pigs sent to us seem to be having a great time going outside and being cozy. From left to right these were crocheted by @_sarahsunshine3_, @nenalanasdiy, and @namelessdemure on Instagram.
It’s a party
We also received some lovely group pictures from you crochet fans! These amigurumis love to stick together and undertake some group activities. From left to right, top to bottom, they were made by @handmadebyhmonster, @kleinaberjoho, @kleinaberjoho, and @bechosgdl on Instagram.
Frogs
How can we forget the moody, royal frogs? You guys have let the emotions pop on your frog contest entries! Whether they’re content or displeased, all of them have a great expression and a fabulous look. From left to right, top to bottom, these frogs were created by @dorien.vdl, @cyndracia, @fraeulein_heakchen, and @amberjadelilycrochet on Instagram.
Black and White
We also received some lovely black and white creatures! These were the pandas and the cows. The pandas are looking good in their natural habitats outside, enjoying the weather and the surroundings. And the cows seem so pleasant and kind. What’s not to love? From left to right, top to bottom, they were made by @amberjadelilycrochet, @easy_manufaktur, @kaytedid86, and @happytinypeople_design on Instagram.
Elephants
No set-up is complete without some tall elephants. With hats, ribbons, sweaters or scarves, no fashion item is wasted on a pretty elephant. We received some cool pictures of elephants doing all sorts of things. Look at the view on that city! From left to right, top to bottom, they were crocheted by @woodlandcritterscrochets, @ronibellie, @mandakallen, and @shadylynxcreation on Instagram
And last but certainly not least, our wonderful header picture for this blog was posted by @bedcrafter.
